Just wanted to change the front hubs out since they are probably the original OEM ones it came with.

I already changed the rear with some cheap ones from Amazon four years ago and have no problems.

What do you think about NAPA wheel hubs or have you tried them before?

I got some delivered today but can return if I should, I normally go Autozone lifetime warranty but wanted a certain hub.

Usually I can't buy anything from Napa because they cost almost as much as the parts from the dealer practically so I'm not sure what you're trying to say You're trying to say that the company that builds the Toyota wheel bearings makes them for Napa sounds good to me how much are they from Napa I have 70 to near 100K on some brands like TRQ in the front of several generation twos without any problems at $49 to pop I believe is what I paid I would continue doing that before I would pay $150 plus for the original Toyota branded two or three brands that they use I don't think so If they were high enough failure rates or something to even think about stuff like this possibly but so far I haven't seen any of that I've got some original hubs on a car that I've been wanting to change for over 3 years they're over 300,000 miles on the hubs but they make no noise and cause me no strife so why I'm waiting till they start making noise and see what mileage I'm at I've had some making noise at 230,000 I guess a few instances I've heard of people with half that mileage changing the hubs but it's interesting to note wasn't really the hubs or other things going on

I heard Toyota uses Koyo for their wheel hubs supplier.

As for NAPA I heard they use SKF.

I searched through Autozone, Oreilly's, Avance Auto Parts and NAPA for the special anti rust coating hubs.

Seems to be what the companies above do to their middle tier or "better" models.

No lifetime warrantied hubs have this coating so I had to settle for a 3 year warranty but a protected hub from the elements of my surroundings.

I picked the NAPA brand because it was the cheapest of them all, Autozone came in second cheapest.

But searching around I read that NAPA uses SKF and searching around for SKF looks like they are good company versus who the other companies use.

Here are the ones I got from NAPA.

So some things line up as them being SKF rebranded for NAPA but NAPA says they are manufactured by ASG but I can not find anything on ASG.

I think they cant say they are SKF at that low of a price but on the higher priced hubs they say they are SKF.

They do carry Koyo with 1 year warranty and Dorman which has a lifetime warranty but no e-coating on either of them and also carry SKF branded with 5 year warranty for more money than the e-coated rebranded for NAPA 20241016_180517.jpeg 20241016_180535.jpeg

The ones I got are going for $89.99 each right now with e-coating with 3 year warranty.

The same exact SKF branded hub sold by NAPA is going for $260.29 without e-coating with 5 year warranty

You can get the same SKF branded hub from SKF for $212.71 without e-coating as this is something only NAPA does.

@AzusaPrius why are you replacing? Just last week I was thinking about taking a look at mine to see if I could grease of oil just to get the axles spinning easier. But it's on my todo list after I get the rear brakes loosened up a smidge. ( I can hear the pads meeting rotors as I glide out of the driveway, more so by another smidge a day after a good rain.
I've got this routine at the first drive of the day to gauge - rolling resistance tire pressure and whatever else is going on with the car on any particular day. It's about 1/10th of a mile rolling on mostly down slightly ( enought to keep rolling ) with any go pedal. (when they graveled the road 2 summers ago my data changed by a LOT ).
It took a year or two to discover how to do it and I don't record any of the data but I remember well the highs and lows and some other bits and pieces.

edit: :notworthy: sorry - forgot they might be original.

E-coating sounds interesting; might help with Toyotas “rust when you look at it it” suspension components.
