Did some fluid drain and fills:).

Currently at 105 k miles and did the following:

    • Rotated tires
    • Lubed brake pins
    • Drain and filled the differential (last performed at 5 k miles)
    • Inverter coolant drained and filled
    • Engine coolant drained and filled
If doing this job, I found the attached setup to be handy to collect coolant:

    Here's to another 105 k miles(y).

Yeah good idea; I did similar, pushed a short piece of surgical rubber tubing on the radiator drain spigot, just leave it on. Pushed a plug onto the end to keep it clean. (y)
We’ll never catch up Ray, at 102k… kms, on our ‘10.

Probably won't catch the mpg's of the Prime either ;).

126.3 mpg lifetime and going strong :).

Thinking about the egr circuit and potentially doing that over Christmas break. I've had the catch can installed since 22k miles and it does its job. Might be another piece of data(y).

@jerrymildred reported when working at Tampa Hybrids someone with a gen 4 asked for an EGR cleaning. The car had over 300k miles, and when they got it out found only a light patina of carbon, wasn't really worth it. And I don't believe it was a plug-in either.

The egr circuit is much more difficult to access in the Gen4 / Prime:(.

    Good to know;).

The catch can I have on our Prime will collect a couple of ounces every 10k miles:).

Does its job and I have a feeling it'll protect the egr circuit from further carbonization (y).

Ray if you get a chance to look at the Drive Monitor on the MID while showing your lifetime trip, what's the %EV look like for you. I'm currently at 94K miles and showing 110 mpge lifetime. Though my %EV keeps dropping with each road trip we take. Our lifetime mpge was at 133 a few years ago back when our driving was more EV than it is presently.

My lifetime mpge is at 110.1 - 94661 miles - 66% EV and dropping faster than I'd like. Cest la Vie ...

I can look into this, but know that I do much more trip driving than I used to;).

Our kids are in travel sports and every weekend we are going somewhere, sometimes hundreds of miles away:sick:.

But compared to the vehicle choices of the other parents, I get there the thriftiest way possible:).

And have enough room to haul the gear required(y).

Ray, any tips or tricks on Howto coolant flush and refill for Prime either engine, inverter or both, without techstream?
My maintenance minder is currently showing a coolant message, even though I don't remember setting it up.
I've been way to swamped the last couple weeks to have even given the minder a second thought, until today.

Has another co incident showing on the gauge cluster late last night, ( after 2 similar 200 mile trips yesterday and the day before ), but I doubt I could explain it in few sentences and have it make sense. :coffee:
