Hello, sort of a silly question, but I'm looking to find the part number for the little rubber cap on the inverter bleed valve for the Gen 2 Prius. I know it probably doesn't matter, but I lost mine and I want it back.

I found the parts diagram on the Japan Parts website of the Gen 2 Prius Inverter Coolant system, but it doesn't label the bleed valve or the cap on it.

It's just a tiny rubber cap, I imagine it could be extremely cheap :)

Go to the auto parts store to the h e l p section and you'll find an assortment of break bleeder caps no problem One of them will fit what do you do with the others I don't know

Put them on the brake bleeders, if any of those are missing a cap. :)

They really do serve an important purpose, certainly in a place like Boston. Because bleeder screws have a passage drilled through, if left uncapped they can get very stuck in an environment with salty water around. Gets in through the passage and rusts the threads from the inside as well as from the outside.

I've had them that were welded up with dirt like a mud dauber would put in something but that's not what happened there I don't think but they had to be removed and dug out with a pic blown through and all that and then on one car that they failed on I just took them out and put in those one way bleed valves they can let fluid out but not air back in.
