She has one mechanical issue, and a front passenger side ding, but otherwise has been running well and is in amazing shape for a 22-year-old car.
Until, the red triangle of death.
We hooked it up to a ('motopower OBDII/EOBD' bought on Amazon) machine but it didn't read any codes. I tried all the things I found on forums as far as checking fluids and different things that might be causing it, no luck. It's actually intermittent (!?!) but it's scary and it's our teenagers' car so that's not OK.
It's just time to move on. Kids are driving our 2011 Prius and I now have a 2021 Prius plug-in.
But we (especially our older daughter) love this little car and don't want to sell her to a junkyard for parts. We hope we can find an enthusiast who will do right by her.

I'm not sure what Gen it is. It was the first year it was available here in the US, but I don't think that means Gen 1 since I never see anybody referred to theirs as that.
Also, I'm not saying that it would be terrible if you decided it just had to be used for parts to fix other older Prii. But the junkyard thing is just a bridge too far, especially for my daughter.
Oh, and I forgot that some other guy had it for the first 200 or so miles then brought it back to the dealership and said no he just wanted another Camry or Corolla like he'd always been driving. (These were so new that they were more lenient then, I think. I got to bring it home for a 24 hour test drive). So I actually got it for a few thousand off of the price. I have the original sheet from in the window which maybe will help you understand what the trim is, 'cause I don't know. I'm pasting a photo here.
