Hi PriusChat, My tpms sensor finally came ON after 12 years. I would like to replace the TPMS sensors. I have a Canadian 2012 Prius Touring (which is not the larger Prius V and is more like a Prius IV). Does anyone know the part number for the TPMS sensor 3rd Gen? I tried plugging in my VIN to Bradford Toyota's website and it spit out 42607-33012. I honestly can't tell if it is correct or not.
You can call the dealership parts department to make sure. They will give you the correct part number based on your vehicle VIN

Canadian Toyota dealerships aren't all that nice and give out part numbers. They know you are asking for the P/N to buy the parts yourself online. Sometimes the parts guy is nice enough to give it to me, but I have usually contact several dealerships.
I believe the part number you listed is correct. Tire Pressure Monitoring System Sensor - Toyota (42607-33012) 2003-2019 Toyota - 4260733012 2013 Toyota Prius V Five, Three, Two 1.8L L4 - Electric/Gas When replacing these sensors, it's best to replace them when you buy tires. You can replace all 4 at once and the labor charge would be minimal.
If you can call the USA for free, just give a call to Longo Toyota in El Monte. Those guys will give you any part number you want.
I don't mind emailing them, since they can't tell where the email comes from. Seems like they don't have email, but they do have a webpage for online messages. They also have online chat.
All I need to do is verify that the 3rd gen prius has a single tpms part number with no variants. The substitutes and primary part number fit all 3rd gen priuses. I once installed a neutral safety switch on a 2011 Hyundai Sonata which had 2 variants with different part numbers. Sometimes there are variants for certain parts, sometimes there are no variants depending on the part. The Prius headlight housing has 2 variants for LED and Halogen. The Prius brake booster has two variants for 17" OEM rims and 15" OEM rims.
No variants. You do have to write the new serial numbers into the TPMS ecu, usually with Techstream or one of the Autel TPMS tools.

The cheap TPMS sensors from the same company as original with the right label and sticker on them even the cheap ones on eBay worked on my 2013 generation 3 Persona and my 2010 solar roof non-persona Gen 3 same car in other words no problems and actually the same part number is running on a generation two with the light off and everything working fine I believe it's a 2008 all three sets of 10 sensors bought in pairs of four and plastic bags on eBay for like $40 for the set of four I promise you they're working on all three of those vehicles and I believe they're all the same part number I can go look but they're not the part number that you're putting up here from Toyota either so there are several that I'm sure will work and apparently the seller that I buy from on eBay knows this and knows which ones to send apparently and they all have been the shining spitting image of the originals that I've removed the fakes are the ones I'm buying don't have the same part number but it's very close so it seems like many cars use very similar if not almost exact sensors from this maker in the Toyota lineup not talking about other cars here That's been my experience and my lights off in all three of the cars mentioned above and I did enter the proper serial or code numbers off of the sensor in to Toyota tech software to put the light out was very simple You can also do it with the AP200 just remember to write all the numbers down before you mount them on the car and close up the tires obviously. But we've had no problems and I've bought from two different sellers on eBay three times.

Have you at least phoned your local dealerships part departments, got prices? My 2 cents, do nothing.
I agree with Tom, if you pay more than $50 for a set of 4 TPMS sensors you paid too much. Any 315mhz sensor designated for Toyota will work. Getting them installed may cost more.
My 2010 Prius showed the TPS light early this summer. Had COSTCO replace two bad ones for $97.00 including tax. Thought it was a fair deal.
