Colorado Catalytic Converter Theft - Advice?

    I’ve been through this in CA and CO, both passed an after market cat welded with extremely amateur abilities (no one looked under the car). To be specific these were testing sites in riverside ca and Fort Collins co. ..also spray paint inscribed with “aftermarket cat fuk off” and “quit smoking dope” seemed to prevent further thefts

    Thank you very much. This info was helpful. I might just sell my OE Cat to help somebody out. My county doesn’t have inspections on CATs.

    There are attorneys who can advise on what your next steps should be. You *might* have insurance coverage for the loss. I would call your auto insurance to see if there's coverage. It doesn't hurt to talk to an attorney when you have suffered a loss
