Low miles is good for the engine as long as it was not all city stop and go miles. Low miles is not a benefit for the battery.

I would get the 2017 v if it was my budget and I could not find an equivalent 2016 or newer Rav4.

6,000 miles a year isn't bad for a hybrid. idk how carfax gets their data.

we have members with hundreds of thousands of miles on the gen 3 engine with no major problems.
no one knows what causes the head gasket issue or what percent go bad, but statistically seems quite high.

Carfax gets no data from most independent shops, diy owners and certainly not from scammers who do rollbacks. If one of these guys get a high mile car without oil change data it becomes easy.

I've got a detailed log of my DIY maintenance, but nobody else has a clue about it. FWIW I'm inclined to be more wary, of a car touted as being "religiously dealership serviced".

Last time I looked, quite a few years back and I wouldn't have a clue how to find it now, after 4~5 years ownership it listed a snow tire on rims install, and a recall or three. That's it.

If I had the choice, I would get a used RAV4 over a Sienna for numerous reasons. Our family has a 2008 Rav4 with 110,000 miles and a 2012 Sienna XLE with 177,000 miles. I'm the family mechanic and that RAV4 has been VERY reliable...only issue we had was a mice built a nest in the air intake area which required me to remove the blower motor assembly and clean it out. The Sienna goes through tires like crazy and seems to need a brake job about every 2-3 years on the front. It's also needed an alternator, upper/lower tire rods, and, now, needs the CV joint in the front/left tire. (I'm debating just paying someone to do that for me...I'm not a big fan of doing suspension work.) It's interesting how both vehicles have the same V-6 engine.
