When driving I like to have the Fuel Economy History displayed on the Multimedia Screen. That's the one with a bar graph that shows the overall MPG for that day and several previous days. I often make several stops when running errands and every time I restart the car I have to tap the screen 3 times to get to the correct display. Is there any way to set this as a default so that it displays when I restart the car without having to tap the screen repeatedly?
Is there a chart displaying days (on the x-axis)? The one I recall has 5 min intervals on the x-axis.
Yes, the first screen that comes up, which is labelled Current, shows the 5 min intervals. At the top there is also an option for History. You have to tap Reset (not Clear) to start a new bar graph for each new day. It will show you the overall mpg for the day. I have my MID set up to display the mpg for each "trip". That display comes up every time I turn off the car and is reset each time I start the car. If I want to monitor the overall mpg for the day while I'm driving around I have to tap the screen 3 times every time I restart the car. Lately I've just been bringing up the graph the first time I start the car so I can Reset it for that day, then I just turn the Display off and don't check again until I Reset the graph for a new day, or sometimes I check it when I've finished my driving for the day.
What a waste of space on that multimedia display be it 8 or 12.3 inches. All the Toyota engineers had to do was to put up a view like the prior gen 4 with a tabular format showing trip, day mpg with miles driven switchable to week and month...instead we have a junk bar graph with real time useless info lol..."multimedia display" euphemism for a monitor to display what your phone already shows-this is simply the worst part of the car imo
Worse than the new subscription models so many computer companies are currently implementing, or not quite that annoying?
