Roll front window and rear window half way down. Pinch the glass with two fingers. You don't have to be rock climber gripping them. Now see if you can move the glass left or right, up or down. Gentle force. How much do yours move? Because my front windows are solid. They really don't move at all. But the rears feel loose as hell in all directions. And I'm wondering if this is part of my mysterious rattle I get from the rear door area under certain bass conditions. And because there's always gonna be a weird person that asks about something related but not actually relevant, yes, they seal just fine when closed. Water tight. So this looseness does not affect their final closed position.
Well this is a question (sort of related). When all windows are up, if I press the passenger side front row and any of the rear windows to go up (they should not as they are fully up) they do not (so this is ok and expected-there is no sound, twitch or reaction to go up). Not so with the driver side window-when fully up, a move up on the button causes the driver window to attempt to go up resulting in a push effort and sound. When I exit the vehicle I see driver window open message (same would come on the app-repeated messages about the driver side window open (when visually it was not) (have since signed out and uninstalled the useless app). So am not sure if the driver window reacts correctly upon using the button control to move it up when it is fully up (and if that twitch/effort/sound in the attempt to move up unlike the other windows when in fully up position) is normal or indicating an issue. I may just put this in another thread if others see fit. Thanks.
I was taking measurements of the windows for something and tried it on the back; I can wiggle my rear driver's window left and right quite a bit, like a good inch. Up and down didn't seem to move much. I haven't tried the other side yet but figured I'd mention it as I remembered this post!
