    Hi folks!

The 12V outlet at the passenger leg part is not working well, so I'm thinking about removing it and replacing it with a USB outlet or an FM transmitter. Now I'm facing the problem that I can't take the original outlet out. I was able to remove the air vent piece above and the storage compartment to the right, but I'm stuck here and don't know what to do to disassemble the outlet socket.

Couldn't find any video tutorial as well. Any help is much appreciated.

OK looks like it's a universal cigarette socket. I was able to pry the tabs and pull the metal and plastic parts out.

In my gen 3, I tried unsuccessfully several times to get at the outlet that's in the small forward panel under the flying center console. All the pictures I could find looked like the panel should just pull out, but nothing I tried ever seemed to work.

The problem was never solved until one night when I'd managed to get a plugged-in power cord wrapped around my ankle while driving, then parked and got out of the car. That pulled the panel out. :D
