I pulled out the orange hybrid safety plug while cleaning the fan and duct work. After installing the plug, including the lock procedure, I have the "triangle of death" alert. Is there any way to clear this code? I would prefer to not have the car towed to a shop. Thanks! Ted

Is this for a Gen 5 or Gen 3 like your profile? If the latter, you're in the wrong sub and may get better advice in the appropriate one.

you can try disconnecting the 12v for a minute.
did you slide the handle up as the final step?

I don't know about gen 5 specifically, but earlier generations had a safety interlock that gives a P0A0D trouble code if the orange plug is not plugged in all the way. "All the way" includes sliding the handle lengthwise after clicking it down; that's what completes the interlock circuit.

If you read the trouble code and it's P0A0D, that's a dead giveaway.

Yeah, that sounds like what happened when I forgot to fully lock the plug when I did the fan/duct cleaning to my gen3. Scared the crap out of me. Just watch a video or two on exactly how to fully lock it, then go back and double check your work.
