I just found out that my 2022 AWD doesn't have a spare. Not comfortable living in the boonies and not having one. I know space is limited due to the inverter in the back, but isn't there some kind of narrower spare that would fit in that space?

    Are you talking about space?
Where is it located? Can you take a photo with its dimensions?

I keep my "donut" behind the driver's seat. It is kept in a sleeve made out of beach towels to avoid marking up the upholstery. The sleeve would risk blocking the battery vent if I stored the donut behind the front passenger seat.

no argument here. if you wanted to store it behind the passenger seat though, a tight bag might not block the intake.

If you have snow tires on a second set of wheels, then you already have four full size spares. One should fit behind the passenger seat as long as the passenger isn't too tall. And no, you won't ruin a snow tire by using it in the summer.

Next time research, which cars have spares. As long as people keeping buying ‘em without spares, the manufacturers keep selling them.
