thank you for the explanation and all makes sense. Now i do understand why it was acting that way. Currently have the hybrid battery out of the vehicle and apart. I will replace the low cell and re-install the battery this week. I plan to charge the battery with a MAXX volts charger and hopefully that will balance all the cells.

That code is about one specific vacuum line, and it is the one that works the HCAC actuator down on the exhaust pipe. The actuator moves a flap inside the exhaust pipe and sometimes from the heat and accelerated rusting it gets stuck. This thread may be of interest.

Chap forgot the link, but there are many discussions of this DTC here. SYK, driving the car in the snow of MN will almost always lead to this issue. The flap and actuator rod will rust over. Another thing you should check is the fuel filler neck. They rust from snow as well and will kill the fuel pump inside the gas tank so you have to replace the entire tank. Just reach up in the rear wheel well and feel over the top of the filler tube right at the fender. The tire will throw the snow up there and it gets packed solid. Then, if it stays cold the snow rusts a hole through the tube. Later, when spring comes around, the tires will throw water up there that gets in your tank. The tube itself is easy to replace. I got some spares if you need one.

so the cat was stolen and the actuator flap is gone, before i replaced the wiring harness on the gas engine i never seen a P1437 code. But now after i replaced the wiring harness now getting the P1437 code. So i would assume its the exhaust actuator causing the code but why did i not see it before. Any ways i might just try the goldwing trick just to shut the code off.

Will the P1437 code make the vehicle behave differently or just throw the check engine light?

It can take a little while for a 1347 to appear if the weather is warm. The valve shuts to allow a cold exhaust to warm up. That happens mostly in the winter. If it's rusted in the open position and it's summer, maybe you don't get a code until winter time. If it were stuck closed, you might see some mpg decline. mostly about air pollution.

i replaced the one cell in the hybrid battery that was bad, scanned it with dr. prius and now all is good. Drove the car for 35 miles and averaged 55mpg. seems like shes back to life and happy about it.

been driving the car around and everything is running good. Hopefully get some more miles out of this Frankenstein. Only throwing two codes that are related to the cat. Will ignore them for now or maybe trick the system with the goldwing actuator. For now just going to keep driving her. Thanks for all the help SC.png
