I'm filling out a CA DMV application for Clean Air Vehicle stickers, hoping to get one of the 10,000 for this year.... the app asks me to check whether my 07 Prius is "ZEV Zero Emission Vehicle", "ULEV Ultra Low Emission Vehicle", "SULEV Super Ultra Low Emission Vehicle" or "ATPZEV or PZEV Advanced Technology Partial Zero Emission Vehicle". Sheesh... how would I know? Can someone advise me?
I am also filling out one of these forms. I finally found out, by zipping around the net in my usual impatient fashion, that the Prius is a SULEV. In fact, it exceeds the standards to be such. This, I take it, is better than LEV, better than ULEV ...
The Prius is an ATPZEV ( Advanced Technology Partial Zero Emissions Vehicle ) This is the best you can get besides having a ZEV.
OK, I just found out on the DMV site that the 2001-03 Priuses are "SULEVs" and the 2004-07 models are ATPZEVs. Thanks. <div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(jendbbay @ Jan 7 2007, 04:02 PM) </div>

Oh No! I sent in my application today and checked the box that said SULEV instead of the one that said ATPZEV. So does this mean they won't give me my stickers? Of course, I also realize that there might not be any stickers left anyway. But worse still, should I send in a new application and correct my error? Uh oh......
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(jendbbay @ Jan 8 2007, 08:28 PM) </div> I wouldn't worry about it. I think the DMV gets as far as "Prius" on the form and that's good enough for them. Did y'all notice that a lot of Northern California counties require a Fasttrak account in order to receive stickers? It's a pre-paid bridge toll transponder for you non-northerners.
