Good evening, I have a 2007 Prius. The MFD screen is very hard to read during the daylight. I have the brightness set to the maximum level but it is every difficult to see. The screen does not have any marks on it and it is not burnt out in the middle. It is simply very dim. The MFD is the one with the four buttons (two on each side of the MDF). Any assistance would be appreciated. Ps. The screen works perfectly (all the touch screen buttons work great) with the exception of the dimness.
    Thanks for any help.

Do you remember it being brighter or is this something else here in Florida too so quite bright during the day and sunglasses and so on I guess the car doesn't have tinted windows?

If it is very bright, you can use the sun visor on the MFD

Do you remember were you got that shield? Personally, I would like to repair the screen but there aren't many people out there that know much about that subject. Thanks

That sunshade may be available on Alibaba or something like that or it could probably be easily made with a piece of plastic material and a heat gun I could very quickly whip that up I do believe trim it heated bend it hold it tack it in place with goop in case I don't like it I can rip it off roll up the goop and throw it away and throw what I just made in the back of the car should that be necessary. In the southeast United States where I live just up from Florida many times you can't see your display the MFD anyway because of the bright sun imagine in Arizona and Texas this can be problematic too but I'm not sure what it is you need to see generally it's to turn the air conditioner up or change the radio station which is two different buttons on the steering wheel I don't really need to see feel and or hear what I'm doing but yeah they can be dim.
