Howdy! I want these out of my mother's garage. Brand new; 600 miles. Bought the car. Swapped to 17s. I just want them gone. I will ship: 3000 dollars to ship 'anywhere in lower 48'. Is that a hilarious price? Yes. Do I want to ship them? Clearly not. This is called "I do not want to ship them" price, but hey, it's still a deal, technically speaking. I would take your 3000 dollars though, and angrily drive to UPS. I would angrily talk to the employee, and angrily allow them to package and ship them to your address. Everything would be under duress. I would be upset, snarky, and would be pissy in every email exchange. "Yeah, jerk, they shipped" "Jesus, I guess I can ship them, yes. Are you sure? I mean, it's 3000 dollars?" "I really don't want to ship them" "Yeah, I know the 3000 dollar number is absurd to ship something, that's the point" But technically speaking? You're still getting 4 brand new, TPMS included, 19" Prius rims, with new tires. I mean, you're still way ahead of 'going to Toyota' If, however, you want to come to Mansfield, OH? Then they're yours. Free. You'd show up. We'd chat briefly. I'd point to the tires. You'd smile. You'd take them. And we'd be done. It'd be enjoyable for everyone involved. We'd briefly discuss "haha, yeah, Prius stuff", and then we'd part in peace. You can get more than that on Craigslist. I have sold Michelins with 75k miles for $50 each because they still had legal tread. I have also sold new car “off brand” take offs (eg anything other than Michelins) for $100 each.
My goal is to get rid of them, not 'make money' If someone can enjoy them, that's really all I want. The 3k 'shipping' fee is literally 'you do not understand how little I want to ship them' sort of thing
You had me going for about 5 seconds. I think Jimmy Fallon needs monologue writers. I know Letterman takes submittals from aspiring writers. Regardless, sometimes people don’t know how easy it is to get someone to take stuff away and pay for the privilege. Last winter I had a heat pump guy try to fix my backup heat by bringing a used board. It did not fit so he just left it and charged nothing. I went into electronics tech mode and repaired my board which simply had a burned out ic. Then I checked out the left behind board and found it selling for $1000 on eBay. That guy was gone in two days with $350 in my pocket. Sometimes you don’t know what you have until it’s gone,
