    Hey Prius Peeps,

I pulled a boneheaded maneuver and washed my key fob in the washing machine. I disassembled it, dried it and changed the battery. It opens, locks, starts the car, but now the little black lock sensors on the doors and trunk lid don’t work. I tried to reprogram the key but maybe I didn’t do it right. Any advice?

does it start the car with the fob in your pocket?

how did you go about reprogramming?

is the sks button under the dash in the correct position?

did you lose the rfid chip inside the fob case?

    watch

I looked up how to reprogram and it was a bunch of put in key, then open door, then close door, type stuff. No idea what the SKS button is or what is the correct position. As far as I know RFID chip is still there.

he shows the button in the video. it is under the steering wheel. i think out is the correct position.

it is possible that reprogramming isn't going to work after a drowning.

does the red light on the fob come on when you push a button?
