When I clean the car, I like to listen to music and with the car in Ready mode, the daylight running light are on. On previous car, putting the handbrake turns them off but this doesn't work on the Prime. So, is there another way? Surely there is one otherwise people would throw a fit in a drive-in theater lol.
Wasn't there a thing about the DRL only turning on when you release the parking brake after going READY? Maybe I imagined it.
That is the case for the European G5. Only helps in daylight though, because at night you're then facing the automatic headlights, for which there's no OFF.
I guess nothing, but in all my previous cars before this one, putting the emergency brake on while parked turned off the running daylight.
kinda late reply. Put on the parking brakes, turn off the car, then turn on again. That has always worked for all my cars including my 1st gen, my 3rd gen, and now my Prime.
Most cars I've been in, turns on the DRL when either the parking brakes are released or the car is placed into gear. If you park and don't reinitiate the system, the DRL won't turn-off.
I'll wash the car this evening when the sun is lower. I'll give it a try. Thanks. Edit: Yep, it works It's my first car that I have to have the car off before the emergency brake are engaged for the daylight running lights to be off when the car is turned on. TIL. It was almost inconceivable that you couldn't turn them off outside of pulling a fuse.
