I find a lot of info about how to bleed Gen3 but not Gen4. For example, is getting into "Invalid Mode" the same?

I just want to change fluid, and have no need to bleed to get rid of air. Thanks.

I'm thinking of using this Nutz & Bolts video.

You should perhaps edit your thread title to say "fluid replacement" instead of "brake bleeding" (or, if the time to edit your own title has passed, use the Report button and ask the mod to do it).

Your title as it currently stands is a trick question, given that there is no non-Techstream "brake bleeding" procedure for gen 3, so there's no way gen 4 can have "the same" procedure.

There is a gen 3 non-Techstream fluid replacement procedure, and as long as fluid replacement is all you need to do, that ought to be enough.

I do not know if there is such a procedure in the gen 4 repair manual, or if it is the same as for gen 3. There might be differences, as the gen 4 brake system differs from gen 3's in some significant ways that got discussed in this thread over here.

I believe it’s the same, but not sure. There’s a third Gen brake fluid change instruction in my signature, I think. FWIW.

Hopefully 3rd gen Invalid Mode still works. Hitting the *$%! wall trying to find it in gen four manual.

If it's just changing the brake fluid, this The Car Care Nut video might be what you need.
