Does this OEM part really cost $50? I see there are third party sets of all 4 that cost like $50 but they generally don't get great reviews.

I believe the part is 75710-47010

Any ideas or ways to get it cheaper?

Amiyama com The aftermarket may have you covered pretty good weather stripping window seals things like that You want to call your local body shop supplier in many towns he's called like the bumper guy literally He has a truck that says something similar to that on it he sells bumpers weatherstripping sometimes glass quarter windows and things like that the dealerships and car lots so they can fix their mess that they take in trade Not as common as they once were but still in good markets these guys are still in business they'll be able to tell you who supplies their weather stripping and what not may even put you in touch with them or get it for you this is the strip that sits on top of the painted door where your arm would go if you were the type that rode around with your arm resting on the window ledge when it's down has a stripper rubber that clears the fog off when it rolls up and down You could also go to another car and pop five or six of these off at the junkyard and probably keep them all for free they don't generally go bad people mess them up putting in replacement door glass and things like that or it's car's been parked in the sun all its life and it's literally that strip of rubbers eating up by the Sun I have a 94 Honda where all four of these are eating up by the Sun there's no rubber left just the red metal strip

My son's old Corolla (2012) received one of those aftermarket sets after most of the original ones failed. Two windows fit well, one fit so-so, and one wouldn't seat at all. If memory serves, they ended up getting two OEM strips for the front windows, as those were the two worst ones.

Thanks, I checked amayama and with shipping it ends up being about $50+ to me.

I'm going to roll the dice on the aftermarket set and if it isn't good, I'll go with the OEM.

I'm in S.Cal so it doesn't rain too much here and I garage park my car.

For a generation 2 you should be able to get all you want from salvage yards and they should be in relatively good shape unless the car spent its whole life sitting in the sun etc which out in California I would think a lot of these spent their lives in garages so shouldn't be a problem hell I have the parts here in North Carolina that are in pretty good shape so I imagine in California where it's been tepid and hadn't rained in years they should be in similar condition I certainly wouldn't have to be paying $50 plus to get one here is already about 10 or 12 of them laying around still on doors
