I see several sub forums and their titles give you a vague idea of what might be an appropriate post in that sub forum, but what topic would be appropriate for a main forum eludes me. That being said, I’m still not clear as to where i should post a question that i have.
Just pick the one you think is best and if people think its in the wrong forum the moderator can move it for you... I usually choose the forum with the most subscribers to maximize the number of people who see it.
So which gen3 forum has the most subscribers, and where do you find that info? Still curious as to what the main forum is geared towards. To browse through it, it appears to be filled with random head gasket troubleshooting and repair questions, and how to use your prius as a generator. Having a post moved because someone doesn’t like it there is like my wife moving my stuff in the garage. At that point I can’t find it and she has no idea what i’m looking for.
On the front page of the website where all the forums are it indicates how many are subscribed to each forum...
These types of forums were a really big deal on the internet in late 90's and early 2000's before social media took over... On PriusChat on the front page you see a huge number of forums and each one look like this: Simply click the link and it will take you to the front page of that particular forum, which looks like this: In the lower right corner of this screenshot there is a link to subscribe or "Watch Forum." Click that link and set up your preferences and click the "watch forum" buttong and you're good to go. Super easy! Now when you get on the website the latest posts from the forum will show up in your notifications in the upper right corner. More info here: Forum software by XenForo® © 2010-2019 XenForo Ltd.
The important thing is to post in a forum for your generation. In your case Gen3. Most people post in the Main Forum for their generation. To find one of your posts, click on your icon on the top right of any page. Mine is shown here Then do it again on the result Then click on Recent Activity
There are too many subforums for the amount of traffic that this site gets. Should just merge them all into one or two forums for the Gen 3.
Seems to be 3 main forums for each generation, in order of popularity: 1. Care, Maintenance and Troubleshooting (by far the most popular) 2. Accesories and Modifications (for the mod's, not the rockers ) 3.Main Forum (general questions)
there's only one moderator. he is not likely to move your thread unless you ask him, or post a question about tyres in the audio forums
Newbie forum is “supposed” to be for introductions, but often people post technical questions, without even ID’ing their ride.
