Sup everyone. If anyone has a diagram that can show me if I’m missing an electrical connection cover. I was just looking under the hood and noticed exposed connection without a cover. Bought the car about 2 months ago
If I'm not mistaken I believe that's correct or both of my generation threes are missing it too I don't think anything was there to begin with but I'm not positive of that. If that's the case mine's been off for years through several underhood pressure washings and all kinds of other stuff and has never made any difference If you look at the wires penetrating that business you'll see the little rubber seals or something that go around each individual wire I think Is it penetrates the plug I'm just guessing but I believe it just stands like that.
The car doesn't come with that cover, but you can find some posts here where very appearance-conscious owners have figured out some other (Lexus?) models do, and tracked down its part number.
I think it might be the ES and GS series car of similar year model I'll have a look maybe later this afternoon I vaguely remember somebody talking about that but seems pointless to me to hunt it down but I do think the clips and tabs are there are the tabs and the gray part are there to accept the cover It just didn't come that way in this model from the factory apparently some Lexus models had it and that series would be my guess.
Bit mean to post the photo but not the part number. This is one of the existing threads, where Georgina posted the part number for the cover on the ECM connector: Question about underhood wiring | PriusChat That thread also shows the cover missing on the inverter connector, but doesn't give a part number for that. I'm pretty sure I remember another thread that gave that part number too, but that might have to be searched up by someone more dedicated than me.
The connector near the firewall on my 2011 Prius is just like your picture. Bought my car new, so it looks like that connector is not missing anything.
This was about a decade ago. Just wanted to share the photo. If I had the part number, I would have shared it.
This goes on the 2011 to 2017 Lexus CT 200h and those you won't find anywhere because everybody's hoarding one of those in their yard thinking they have a gold mine or something it's hysterical but the part looks like it's not too expensive it's something you want to embark on probably now becoming new old stock maybe amiyama or close out dealers new old stock parts should be plentiful I don't imagine very many of these were sold at all If anything they were ripped off and thrown in the trash
That thread at least asked about the part number for the one on the inverter connector, but was there ever an answer?
This one? Looks very similar, and again apparently a lever (light grey in colour), maybe for securing a cover. Hmm…
Again, that appears to be the cover part number earlier given for the connector on the ECM, next to the fusebox. I have not yet seen anyone give the cover part number for the connector on the inverter, pictured in post #12. It has been asked about in a few different threads now, but I have not found any just now where the question was answered.
