I'm in need of a front license plate bracket for a 2012 - 2015 Prius. I got a ticket for not having one in CA. if you have one because your state doesn't require you to put one on, I would love to buy it. Thank you
I have one laying around somewhere. South Carolina does not require a front plate. The easier method is to find the dimples in the front bumper cover and drill two 3/16 inch holes and then tap them to M6x1.0. Then, drill two matching holes into the license plate and fasten it to the tapped holes with two M6x1.0x20mm screws. Add a clear cover, if you wish.
Info on it here: Front bumper & bumper stay for Toyota Prius ZVW30L - Auto parts - Amayama Amayama has reorganized their site some, now asks for "frame number". I puzzled over this, then looking in my notes, found I'd noted this: Frame: ZVW30L (on same decal as VIN, in driver's door opening) There's further qualification needed, but it's relatively easy; they're just asking for manufacture date. Part no and description (for 2012-2015): Toyota 52114-47130 - BRACKET, FRONT BUMPER EXTENSION MOUNTING Attached is a shopping cart I started (amounts in CDN $'s): $34.29 plus $13.04 for shipping, comes to $47.33 all-in. Converts to roughly $35 USD all-in
The “full” frame no is shown on VIN decal (at drivers door opening), without identification. Also there’s a cover saying frame number, on floor pan at passenger seat, but it’s inexplicably different.
I've been getting a lot of DMs from new accounts trying to sell me the deck lid I need too. They're always giving an email to contact off site, and either haven't made any forum posts, or only copy/paste ones like this. I've just been reporting them each time, but but maybe a banner at the top of the forum warning about scammers that links to a thread with more info could be helpful?
