Why do you think they offer a 29.99 oil change? They certainly won't be making any money on that! As for the "fan cleaning", I cleaned the filter (wasn't very dirty) on my 2015 and didn't bother with the fan at all.
Also people here will tell you to always run your AC to help keep your hybrid battery cool. I never use my ac (live in NC) and my hybrid battery is doing well. I also haven't cleaned my EGR circuit yet at 102k so I'm sure my head gasket is about to blow at any moment. Sometimes you just need to use your own good sense despite what others tell you. They mean well but most here go to the extreme...I think they probably even clean out that little filter at the foot of the refrigerator every month like the manual tells you! Right guys? Don't you?

I've replaced many hybrid batteries and inspected many fans. The fans that usually need cleaning are in cars where owners carry pets very often. The others typically just have a thin layer of dust which really has no impact on airflow. If anything, buy an OBD device and get the hybrid assistant app. You can use it to manually change the cooling fan speeds. Hold some tissue to the cooling fan intake and go through each fan speed to see how well it's sucking in air. Very low speed is barely noticeable flow, but if it's clogged, there will be very little air being pulled in even at top speed.
Pretty sure you can also remove the trunk floor and storage tray to see how much air is coming out of the HV exhaust duct as you go through the fan speeds. $50 for a really good OBD device and app, or a few hundred to have a shop clean the fan, whether it needs it or not.

On top of all the things mentioned above, why change only 3 tires? lol.

You just going to end up with an unbalanced tires and then when that last one goes, a real mechanic will tell you to change all them in pairs or all 4 together realistically and then you'll have to change them again

I purchased a 2013 because I drive a 2012 for work which has 428,000 MI I discovered that one of the problems with the head gasket is at least to some extent the failure of the water pump impeller I started using an app it keeps an eye on the coolant temperature and even though my head gasket is blown I've been driving it for over a year and a half but just keeping an eye on the temperature and adding coolant as necessary these vehicles were very well designed they're not perfect but if you pay attention they won't leave you hanging dry

Yeah, I am not one to spend hundreds of dollars on the car unless it's absolutely necessary. I understand most here mean well when stating to get all those things checked out/fixed because why not but if my car is ready to drive cross country as is, I have no reason to spend money on services unless I need to. It will be very hot though driving so I will try to shade the car as much as I can.

No pets here. I have no idea where any of those things you just posted are but I am sure a youtube video can show me.
The other tire was just recently changed and it was in fine condition according to the people installing the tires so I didn't bother.

I used to change oil at 10,000 miles but switched to 5000 because of the low tension oil rings. It could prevent excessive oil burning.

I have no problem getting a service done if it's necessary. I will be putting 6000 miles on the car by the time I get back home. A main reason why I bought this car was because of how dependable it is and the low cost of ownership due to not having as many parts as a normal car.

that's smart thinking. if anything needs to be done, it should be done before a major road trip.

Yup and it doesn't seem like I need to get anything fixed/checked because of the low mileage my car has.

Well, I made it to my final destination but had 2 little problems. The left front liner came loose and was scraping against my tire. I was able to cut it away and saw that over time, all the rivets or bolts or whatever was holding them together just came free. I need to get my whole front bumper replaced and now all the lining is gone.
For months now, my right front light is loose and I have just taped it and put it back in place when it came loose again. It works fine but it came really loose and a friend was able to tape it up really good in Kentucky but it only lasted the trip here and is loose again. I got some zip ties and will see if I can use those to keep it in place.
My mechanic said it will be like $1200 to replace the front fender and lining but since it's all cosmetic, it's not a high priority for me.

I replaced a front fender liner with a part from Amazon and some new plastic rivets...cost was about $30 5 years ago.

No idea what it costs today. You also did it yourself. I need a completely new front fender too. Not just the liners. I believe I was told I need everything replaced. Again, it's all cosmetic so not worried about it.

Why do you need to replace the front fender? Certainly not because of the fender liner....is it dented of something?

A little crack in the front and on one of the sides so it comes off a lot and it doesn't always go back into the grooves.

It's cracked on the passengers side and a little in the front. It also is not staying in the rivets on the passengers side so it comes loose a lot. If there is a strong wind, it can also take off half of the front fender. It now has 83,000 miles on it.

Yeah those plastic covers can be frustrating, especially when you can't find the correct plastic fasteners.

If there's any entrepreneurs out there, you'd make a LOT of $$ selling model-specific plastic fasteners for vehicles, especially since they are so darn cheap (pennies for one).....the hardest part would be putting them together for each model.

I just have a few assorted bins and I'll root through them to find the best fit. Amazon has them pretty cheap. I have three sets but these two seem to be the best:

I like to watch mechanics working on various vehicles on YouTube and saw a couple Yahoos just grab the plastic cover underneath and ripped them right off....made me so angry! Would you do that to your own vehicle, jerk???
