I realize I'm really late to the party but I bought a used Gen 3 Prius and am having a beast of a time finding a simple sunshade that fits. Even the XXL SUV one I picked up today wouldn't stay in place. Any suggestions? I found this one in another thread: PriusChat Shop : 2010-2011 Toyota Prius HeatShield Sunshade - Front [1215] - $32.00 But it's now 404 Not Found. Thanks!
I bought this one on Amazon in July 2021. It fits the large front windshield of my 2011 Prius very nicely. The blackout shades are not in stocks, I am guessing it will take 3 to 6 months until you would receive them.
But the sun is out.... now! I give my vote to the ones known as "Heather's Original Heatshield" Of note: this is the item that the priuschat store previously sold. We have the version appropriate for our car, the fit is precise.
Totally agree on Heather's. I tried the "blackout" shades referenced above and was extremely disappointed. In fact, if you live in Virginia area or I-95 corridor between VA and FL, you can meet me and have the "blackout" shades for free.
Interesting fact... you're the only one with something negative to say about those blackout shades. No one else shares your sentiment. That begs the question, do you have the expertise or experience to back up your opinion? Just because you have an opinion doesn't mean it's accurate or valuable. In my book, you're just another naysayer typing words without substance, much like the infamous dogman who thinks his words carry weight simply because he typed them. Do you even own a set of Heather's or just talking out the side of your mouth again?
I own a set of Heather's and they are the best thing since sliced bread. Really great sunshield, as they are advertised. I won't respond in kind to your ad hominem attack. I'll just let people to a search for your name in this forum and they can see for themselves what you are all about. As for the crappy "blackout" shades, I've offered to give them away for free to anyone who can meet me at an exit on I-95, during one of my many trips between Florida and Washington, D.C. Too expensive to mail. They are fine for "darkening" but its false advertising to call them "blackout." Seriously...ad hominem? You must be all up in the threads learning new found words and repeating them like a kid in elementary. People can also search your replies and thread posts and learn all the smack you talk too johnny cakes...know that. I gotta make a ignore list to block all you trolls for real.
