I am not sure if anyone with an SE or an LE has checked yet but I'm looking to see if the connectors for the fog lights from the higher trims are present and if anyone took a couple pictures to see the wire gauge and what kind of connector it is. Anyone checked so far? I have no floor jack for the time being so cannot check
I just bought these fog lights for someone: Fit for 2004-2009 Toyota Prius Bumper Fog Lights Lamps with Bulbs Switch+Harness | eBay and they appear to be much higher quality than OEM and comes with a full wiring harness and dashboard switch. Also, I've never seen obvious wiring on Gen2 lower trim models that don't have lights. So these 2 facts leads me to believe that the lights and their wiring in higher trim packages go together and you'll need more than just the lights if you want to upgrade.
Do those fit on the Gen 5? On the Gen 5 so far they had the spare connectors for the ambient lights and footwell lights which do not come on the lower trim but does on the higher trim. It was a breeze adding it back. Hence I'm wondering if it extends to the fog lights.
