Tire advice for ‘13 V five

I was seeing more outside contact patch scrubbing, which more inflation pressure might even out. Car feels a bit more nimble. Always testing... too soon to tell on MPG.

 

Language is confusing. You're saying higher pressures protect against hydroplaning right

 

Yes. Independent of tread depth, the higher the tire pressure the higher the hydroplaning speed.

Not even deep tread depth (or ‘rain tires’) will completely ‘stop’ hydroplaning, but the tendency to hydroplane is reduced with higher inflation pressure.
