This is replacing my LED replacments I already had installed. Very hard to find and I finally got them in today. The first kit comes with the following. Map lights, vanity lights, dome light, door lights and trunk light. Second LED upgrade is the trunk and this was a separate purchase and not included in the main kit. I already replaced the door lights with even brighter LED Lights so I am not using the door LED lights it came with or the trunk LED in the first kit. The fist kit is for the prius with solar roof only. Very happy with these LED upgrades. Uploads of install and side by side comparisons will follow.
Wow, super bright! I also replaced mine in my 2021 but don't think they are that bright. I offered to replace my wife's lights in her 2017 but she didn't want to, said it was too bright. Fine, live in the dark ages!
The OEM trunk light sits down low on the driver side so the passenger side is very dim, even after an LED swap. I've found the LED replacements (or additions) that instead sit on the inside of the hatch door to be a lot more effective at lighting up the entire cargo area from above. Installation thread here.
Yea I like those too but this was a cheaper alternative. I will upload night time pictures so show how bright they all are.
Night time pictures of the interior and trunk. The trunk is way brighter than it used to be. The interior cabin is lit like a stadium. I am very happy with this upgrade.
@eddiepapi These are for a Prius with the solar roof package not a standard Prius If you have a Prius with the solar package then hit me up on IG @AzusaPrius
The map lights in a Gen 3 could be one of two designs even if you don't have a solar roof. Links (active as of June 9, 2024) below: https://www.aliexpress.us/item/2251832664512261.html https://www.aliexpress.us/item/2251801288256310.html
@Mr. F The two options that you are showing are the only two options, the first image is the solar package and the second is that standard without the solar package. There are no other options.
Solar/non-solar is a false dichotomy for determining map light design. Even without solar one may have the same map light as with a solar package.
@Mr. F You must not be able to notice the difference between the two. A kit for the solar model will not fit correctly on a non solar model. You also showed me another model without the solar package but had SOS.
I truly do not see a difference in the map lights (not the rest of the assembly) between these two images: I did. It seems to me that the first kit, which you mentioned was exclusively for solar packages, would also fit this non-solar SOS package. Please explain why you think I'm mistaken.
@Mr. F I will say I had no idea of this SOS model. It may fit or it may not as I have only seen ads for either solar package or standard. Never an ad saying "this fits SOS package"
