Welcome. I'm pretty sure that the new Prime looks exactly like the car drawings I used to make in junior high school back in the 60's.
not a photo, but a gif i made of the wonky 3D model i made of my '02 prius it's served me well for five years, and is nearing its 200k milestone.
Time for my first Prius. Have gone from a Toyota Blade (Corolla with 3.5 V6) to this, so the fuel saving is insane! It's a Japanese import S Touring. So 17" wheels, stiffer springs, LED lights etc. Was quite surprised how it handled! Have fitted an English head unit and am waiting for a cruise control switch to arrive. Also spent some time today with Carista and adjusted the auto headlamps. What can I play with next?
I'm in New Zealand so the price won't mean must to you! But was under 10k NZ, done 78ks (not miles). Prius prices vary a lot depending where you go here. In my local town a dealer wanted $2000 more for a silver one with 115k and it was base spec!
Got mine at 85k miles, put in almost 50k miles. Can ya guess the name of the mountain? edit: formatting
Here's my 2015. According to Progressive, Autozone, VIN Decode, and Toyota.. It's a 12c34 Prime, lol.. Johnny Cash built it, lol
It’s a front tie point for carrying kayaks on the roof rack. That pic was earlier this month, when I got the black car home from buying it in rural Georgia. I’ve now shifted the roof bars, the spare tow lug, and the class IV ecohitch to the black car (the red car now has the class II Curt hitch from the black car).
Hello friends! I finally got back into a Prius. Had a 2011 base prior. Found a 2013 fully loaded with the Sport package (17 inch wheels), leather interior, all the books and service records from the dealer. Low mileage was a plus. Super happy with this new to me jewel. Cheers!
Nice whip. As a younger guy, I’m constantly conflicted with my Prius being ‘a mom car’ (I also have a 13’ level 5), and flip flop between posting it for sale and keeping it. Those rims and roof rack lessen the mom effect (and the mpg unfortunately). All that said, I’ve had some amazing cross-country travel adventures in mine that can’t be done with another vehicle unless you want to shell out $30-40k for 17mpg truck economy. I figured I could sell it easily when my adventuring is done, but that hasn’t happened yet. You’ll have a lot of fun too, these things are tanks - enjoy.
Be sure to "put some chicken wire over the hatch" on that tank, specifically: get on EGR system cleaning, soon. And consider water pump replacement. More info on EGR in top two links in my signature (on a phone turn it landscape to see signatures).
