So ive done alot of unusual/custom things to my pri over the years. Among them is removing the center console to make way for a bench seat. This exposes some electronics that im unsure of their purpose. Add to that that the night before I had a shorted iphone charger (likely the real culprit) that kept turning my 12 volt bluetooth accessory off and on, and finally that i took my car through a car wash for the first time ever. Low and behold, now my dome light doesnt work, SKS is not functional, radio doesnt work, and VSC light is on (that light has been coming on and off with the ABS and ! lights, for some time now).

Im hoping its a fuse, but somehow i know that that unique pattern of problems couldnt be just one fuse. Is this the Body control module dying? what the hell is a body control module anyway?

It has the pattern of a failing traction battery by the sound of it, but the dome light is probably a fuse .....

Oh ill be damned, it was just a blown dome light fuse. I replace the traction battery like every month (reconditioning barely living modules) .

I have a problem with Priuschat, for all its glory, for me, it has this unintended consequence of catastrophizing any and all problems (especially electrical). I should delete this post. Problem solved....how does one delete a post?

I'd leave it up, it gives people hope their problem might be something minor as well ..... but it doesn't explain the warning lights though, does it?

I generally keep all of my Toyota's out of fully automated car washes even if it's like the movie car Wash no need I have four good garden hoses throughout the property with plenty of pressure and too pressure washers if that's a thing which it never is It takes me like 20 minutes to wash the Prius not detail wash and do the whole car but to wash the colored body outside of the car 15 minutes My bucket of water with soap in it is sitting there under the carport and gets changed about every five or six days for new water and clean washing rags with four cars this gets done reasonably regularly lot of mud and pollen and nonsense down here in the south and I'm parking on rocks and dirt personally the way I like it
