When will Project Lithium Restock?

Why are people thinking itll blow up? Lifepo4 does not blow up, even when torched with fire. All it does is swell and release gas but nothing like lithium ion.

 

Oh I know, trust me in my 3 years of testing these batteries and overcharging, shorting and draining them.

Even using the soother to help in cold weather, I have had zero fires even with a test that swelled up a module on purpose and the car threw a fault code like it should when that happened.

I live in the high desert with hot temps in the tripple digits and still no fires.

 

Will you add a low temp cut off sensor?

 

Good question, and i dont know how or where i would place those sensors yet. From my understanding, they only control the operation of the fan. I dont know if they shoot out codes or prevent charging when modules are too hot as well. But yes, i would try to add them if i ever even attempt this.
Im more just researching how the ECU detects state of charge, so i know what to look out for. Technical manual says amps, but how exactly does the ECU measure amps? Is it the same for nimh and lifepo4 batteries?

That style of current sensor would be based on Hall effect. Not a lot of choices for measuring DC amps. Hence I'd be fairly confident they're measuring the amps with the same technology for NiMH as for LiFePO4.

Now, how they interpret from their voltage and current measurements to an estimate of battery state, of course that is all about the chemistry,

 

So for some reason the email was sent to my spam folder and of course when I finally checked the link they were sold out again. They must go pretty fast 'cause it was only a few days. Do you know how often they restock? Like roughly once a month, once every two months?
