Front hubs/bearings replaced by Car-x. The usual 7mph transition slip became an inreasing, very noticeable clunk/thump/slam/squeak. Cleaned rear brakes. Replace one brake line. Thump is less but stii very wrong. Ideas?

If brake operation was "normal" before Car-x performed work, why not take it back there?

Drive the car at 30 or so. Shift to neutral then apply the brakes. (this disables regenerative braking so you only use the hydraulic friction brakes). How do the brakes sound or feel?

Sounds coming from front, back, hard to tell? You've looked all the calipers over thoroughly?

First thought is someone forgot (or didn't torque) one of the caliper bolts, either the ones going into the slide pins, or the mounting bracket bolts.

Just for giggles try raising the rear and see how free the wheels spin? (see link in signature; on a phone turn it landscape to see signatures)

Ya. Brought it back to the shop 3 times! Charged me another $270 to replace a leaking brake line that they somehow missed the first 2 times???). I know exactly what the smooth transistion release/slip at 7 mph should feel like. This is a soft thunk/bang.

Sounds like rear… but not sure. Will have calipers, slide pins and bolt torque triple checked.

    Please explain"signatures".
