IMO, legally he can't take IP (intellectual property) owned by Tesla to another company.
But he could start another company and hire away key employees and have them recreate something new and /or better that does not violate any patents of trademarks based on anything open source, for example.

With the way he's been treating Tesla's workforce, who would follow him?

Those who agree with him. So far, UAW has had more luck against VW than Tesla.

Source: Tesla and unions - Wikipedia

Tesla, Inc. is an American electric car manufacturer which as of January 2024 employs over 140,000 workers across its global operations,[1] almost none of whom are unionized. Tesla CEO Elon Musk has commented negatively on trade unions in relation to Tesla. Despite allegations of high injury rates, long hours, and below-industry pay, efforts to unionize the workforce have been largely unsuccessful. As of February 2024, there are active labor disputes with Tesla in the United States, Germany and Sweden.

Tesla is the only major American auto manufacturer not represented by a union in the US as of January 2024.[2][3] None of the unionization attempts between 2016–2023 by United Auto Workers(UAW),[4] United Steelworkers (USW), International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW),[5] and Workers United[6] were successful. Complaints were filed against Tesla in all the campaigns for retaliation firings, but only one complaint was upheld.

Isn't it fun - armchair quarterbacking how a multinational corporation is created & run. Overcoming all the odds ... in an Industry that no one else has been able to do - in how many dozens of decades? 'because we too - have also successfully started how many of them?

    Yes it is!
So, let me see if I understand you. Because I haven't started a company like Tesla, and haven't enjoyed the success of that, I can't call out a petulant man-child when he makes impulsive decisions which destroy the value of the company and potentially harm the industry.

Hrm... I think I'll continue to do so. Thanks for your input tho!

Maybe let the stock holders have a say? W/ $2K we bought in when it was $80 a share before the splits. And like the majority so far, we voted to give the CEO the benefits package that the courts decided on their own - were not what we wanted. Got to love the upside down Topsy Turby folks in delaware. Any doubt why they'll be reincorporating in texas?

No skin in the game, which is why I can sit back and shake my head at the idiocy on display!

How could I use a mirror as a monitor? Are you talking about one of those Raspberry Pi Magic Mirror kits? I'm legit curious now...

Are you going to vote to give him even more over his threat to sabotage the company?

The courts decided the board was not doing their fiduciary duty to the stock holders nor corporation in offering that deal, while also not disclosing their connections to Musk in the documents sent to shareholders about the vote on the package.

Texas business courts are young, and will likely look to Delaware for precedence.

Something I posted in another forum.
    - - - -
I've set a calendar event from June 10-13 for the stockholder vote. I suspect there will be a local minimum and I'll have plenty of cash to buy another tranche. My expectation:
    • Trash talking TSLA stock with emphasis on the vote and Elon walking. There may be 'short sellers' who will bet the farm on an Elon alienating vote.
    • After the election, there will be a substantial, sustained increase in TSLA price.
