Sorry Dogman, but it won't change what I wrote. I wish it weren't so!

Today I got confirmation from ChapmanF and independently from a Toyota parts supplier that had an "ask a question" option.

Turns out of course that my P0A80 code may be around for a while until my car determines that is not popping up as current anymore.

But, the non start problem I have may be related to something wrong with the 1B part(middle of three plugs) of the integration relay. I've seen many gen 2 owners having to replace a similar integrated relay as part of the fuse box.
I still plan to test my old fuel pump(turning it into a water fountain!)
And, may be able to run fuel to my engine by using a 12v or similar with leads to the pos and neg terminals on top of the new pump I have already installed.
I've ordered a integrated relay, so hope it will solve the non start crisis.

It likely won't arrive until the 29th, so plenty of time to try other tests!

    @Michael Kent Handy
Please do not hijack this thread. The problems that you have with the no-start of your Prius has no relivence to this thread. You already have created a thread about your Prius's problems. Please post in your own thread. Thank you.

Sorry Brian, but the P0A80 code was still relevant....if you ask Toyota....they blame everything about this non start not on their own repair manual, but on my failing hybrid battery!

I spent 2 weeks reconditioning my traction battery. The triangle light was on and "Check Hybrid system" message was on. I cycled discharge/charge from 6 to 14 times on the different battery modules. I replaced one (#28) because it appeared swelled slightly. Every module tested at least 5000mah. After I reinstalled both batteries, I still get the yellow triangel and "Check Hybrid System". I expected the codes to be cleared after 2 weeks, but I cleared them with an OBD2 device. The code went away for a few seconds, but came back again. I do not have a decent OBD2 tester. One on my testers reads, "unable to connect". I rented one from Auto Zone, but it had no instruction. Still, I get 4 codes; P3190 (poor engine power???), P0401 (likely sticking EGR valve), POC73 and POC93 m(Inverter coolant pump) . Another 2 testers will not work with my Apple phone. My laptop is in the shop to have a 32 bit O S installed for Techstream. The OBD2 did not report a bad traction battery nor a hybrid system problem. What does this mean? Why doesn't the OBD2 report a bad traction battery or bad hybrid system?

Please do not hijack this thread. You should create your own thread for your HV battery problems!

Staying on topic helps keep the forum organized, and starting a new one for an unrelated issue is way more likely to get the member help. Brian's advice is sound.

Wow we did not know all that thanks for clearing all that up for us.

We thank you for your 2 cents but here is your refund...

No reason to bully people or become a nag and tell them where to post unless they are truely hijacking ones created thread.

    Sorry.
I did want to stay on topic. It started as "P0A80 code-but is it really the hybrid battery". I thought my battery was bad. But since my post, I learned that the "triangle of death" can be caused by more than a bad battery. In my case, I got a code that the inverter coolant pump is faulty. I think it can cause a triangle of death.

^^^^ Yes, that's a key point, can't be repeated too often: the triangle has a couple hundred reasons it can light up, and those have trouble codes to tell them apart. When it lights up, get the trouble codes; don't just start guessing what's wrong with your car; the odds you'll make the right guess out of hundreds aren't good enough to be worth it.

Calling the triangle "of deeeeeaaaaaaattttthhhhhhh" also throws people off; it would be great to do less of that. Toyota calls it the "master warning light" for a reason; a lot of the couple hundred things it can warn you about aren't even much trouble to fix.

Sorry if this isn't directly about "P0A80 but is it really the battery", but it's good to have that reminder in the places where people will see it who might be making guesses why their master warning light is on, and a thread like this is that kind of place.

Was actually logging on to share with you! Very bizarre updates actually!!

So end of may, my plan was to change the 2-3 bad modules in the mean time of either refurbishing my own battery or finding a good refurbisher. I kept checking doctor prius in the meantime.
After the initial clean up of bus bars etc, delta soc went from 37 to 34.
Beginning of June, I fixed something else wrong in the car (SRS system; turns out it was just some bad wiring in the dash), but at this point I hadn't changed anything in battery except cleaning it up the first initial time.
Mid June, I checked Dr Prius again, and delta soc had reduced substantially, to like 20%, but I had no idea why since I didn't change anything. I was super busy so I still hadn't gotten around to changing the modules (just finding modules for sale in Québec took me forever to do), and last week, I checked Dr. Prius again for fun, and the delta soc is 0%! Haven't had the triangle of death in over a month (fingers crossed).
I clearly know that the battery didn't just magically repair itself! But I am kind of trying to buy myself extra time (because so much other shit has gone bad on this car since lol just had to have bearing changed at 700$!). So for now, I'm consciously denying the battery problem and hoping I can buy a lot of extra time and then just change it completely next time it goes. The Dr Prius app info also seems more 'healthy'. I'll need to post a pic soon.

She is saying the Delta SOC has improved from 37 % to 0 %. A healthy battery pack has a Delta SOC of 0%. See post #55 for the definition of Delta SOC.

Glad to hear that the Delta SOC has improved to 0%. Have you run the Dr.Prius life expectancy test since the Delta SOC is now 0%? How does it compare with earlier tests that you did?

Back in April I made some recommendations (post #122) thinking that you were going to buy the Prolong charger and discharge. In post #138 you stated that you were going to buy the charger. Since your Delta SOC is now back to 0%, I assume that all the modules in your HV battery pack are okay, and that your battery pack was not balanced. I think that a complete reconditioning (4 charging cycles and 3 discharging cycles) will have a positive effect on your battery pack. I know the Prolong Deluxe System is expensive, but it should keep your HV battery healthy for another 3+ years. When you eventually get rid of your Prius, you can always sell the Prolong charger and discharger on eBay and re-coupe most of your money back. Just this past week, one complete deluxe systems sold for $585US + shipping. I highly recommend that you buy the Prolong system.

Yes I never ended up buying it because I contacted them and they told me they could not guarantee that it would help since my delta soc was so high and he suggested against doing it. Now that my delta doc seems to be staying at 0, I was indeed thinking of doing the prolong system. Am trying to find one used and If not it will have to be a new one and that’s it.
I actually did a life expectancy test and it increased a little but didn’t take a screen shot. Will do another one this week and post it
