Has anyone purchased from deepblue before? I ordered a front emblem for my prius in mid march and am still waiting. They said 6 week lead time on the website (despite saying they were in stock at the time) but as it is now >8weeks i have emailed them twice including using their contact submission form on the website and have not heard anything from them. I will give it another week and then open] a claim with paypal. I am starting to think this is a scam. I have resisted posting on here but with the level of customer service received thus far I think its time to start warning people. https://deepbluechrome.com/
$135 for a slightly different 5 inch front grille emblem? Are you serious? As mine has a radar unit (ACC) behind the stock emblem I can't change it to this awesome emblem.....
it was $125 and it is an OEM emblem which was supposed to be stripped down and recoated. It would have had no impact on the radar. That being said, it appears the company is problematic and I filed a case. Here is the exact link to the 23-24 prius. This is obviously NOT an endorsement to buy. paypal refunded me. I would recommend steering clear from this company. I went with the cheaper option. Taking the emblem off, plastidipping, re-taping and reapplying. Lets see how it holds up over time. It is METAL not plastic. For those wondering how to take it off, let the car bake in the sun a while to soften the glue and then you can use dental floss to saw through enough to remove it. There are two posts that are for alignment on each end but sawing down and then up releases enough to be able to pull it away from the car without breaking it or damaging the car. There are some other guides and videos out there on how to remove it too.
Seems like Austin is a one man band. He has owned the domain for 10 years. So scam might not be the case but not having a full team helping you with customer support seems to be an issue.
There is just one complaint to the BBB in three years. Sometimes other factors in life get in the way but I understand customer service should always be number one. Being accredited by the BBB just means you are paying them, I know because I had a business and paid them to be accredited.
I recommend steering clear of this company until they get their act together. Chime in if you order from them and it goes as advertised.
