Next to the left rear wheel is a sensor that adjusts the height of the headlights. Its wires are broken at the entrance to the socket. There are three wires and I don't know how to connect them. Can someone help me tell me their colors? I attached a photo. Thank you.

Thanks, but those books cost hundreds of dollars and I think they are a little beyond my skill level. I want an answer for dummies, like: 1 - red, 2 - blue, 3 - green :))

As you can see by reading the link I supplied, you have access for far less than "hundreds of dollars" and possibly for free depending on local arrangements. And something like "1 - red, 2 - blue, 3 - green" is pretty much exactly what you see when you view the diagram page for that connector. :)

Of course it is easier if someone else sees your post, and already has the diagram at hand, and replies with the answer you want. And that sometimes happens. But sometimes your post is not seen right away by anyone else who has that information at hand, or by anyone else willing to spend the money you don't wish to spend to look it up for you. (Being in the EU, you could look up something simple like that paying the per-hour rate; here in the US, I would have to pay at minimum the two-day rate to look it up for you.)

So for those times, when nobody comes along soon to provide what you want, it can be helpful to know how to find it yourself.

My first word was "thanks". This means I thank you for your effort and good intentions, I appreciate. Still hoping for a dummies answer.

Your profile says 2012 Prius which is a gen3. What year is your car?

If someone else with a gen 4 (with the levelling gizmo) could take the time to snap a pic you'd have what you need. Don't think you even need to raise it.

    maybe only on European-sold cars?

I am pretty much in the same position as Chapman, eg I would have to spend $25 US to access and download the gen4 schematic. However if I did that I would download as many of the drawings as I had interest in, which is what many of us did for our gen2s or 3s. In my case I don’t have the factory LED headlights which came with the headlight leveling sensor so my downloads exclude those details.

I would look for the part on an online dealers site. They sell replacement pigtails for exactly this purpose.

Or find the part number and search eBay for the part where you might find a pic. This one is $30 US.
