My 2017. I'm the second owner and I don't know how many EV miles it was possible to drive when the car was new. Now depending on the outside temperature it is from 20 to 30 miles. On average 25.
Regular, not Prime. From securitas company and Wheels seller. I bought 2019 Prius in 2020 at Golden Gate Adesa with 198k miles and a head gasket has failed and the CR 3.5 all OK.. 200k miles in a year and a half! fixed it and still runs like this
If you look at the Hwy_boy’s most recent reply to their pinned comment on the above YouTube video, they have a 2019 Prius prime with 522,000 miles on it as of nine days ago. The YouTube video is of the Car Care Nut inspecting it about a year ago with 341,000 miles on it. I think I remember Hwy_boy mentioning they have only done scheduled maintenance and transmission fluid drain and fill every 80,000 to 100,000 miles.
I’m at 145k miles on my 2020 prime. Only issue so far is the stupid smart 12v battery is a puny worthless piece of crap, and car won’t start after sitting at the airport for a week. But, I have a portable jump pack there in the car so that’s a relatively minor inconvenience. I bought it used in 2022 with 109k miles and a solid maintenance history. It’s running great and has averaged 63.7mpg over the 36k miles I’ve put on in 18 months. I also have a 2017 prime w 140k miles. Same thing; only issue so far has been 12v battery. So far I’ve only done oil changes every 5k-10k miles, and throttle plate cleaning every now and then. The 2017 seems due for new spark plugs bc of rough start when the engine kicks in cold. I have maintained four different prii for over 500k of driving thanks to the folks here at PriusChat ! we were chasing the California HOV lane stickers. Each one could’ve run to a million miles or more. Looks like we’re still waiting to see what issues the first gen 2017-2022 prime will have…?
