Hello, Noticed that when i am looking for Maintenance /Service manuals online for generation 3 there is availability now compared to the past. Can anyone suggest a decent manual that doesn't cost an arm and a leg? I have a 2012 v. Thanks for any assistance!!
You mean like from Chilton and Haynes? Those are very basic guides for generally semi-skilled mechanics that no basic practices The Toyota manuals for the generation 3 I think all are electronic so you have to have tablet screen whatever to even deal with that or your printing the stuff out which can get very costly I used to buy Hanes manuals years ago when they were still published out of England they were relatively good but for a car like a Prius I can't even imagine how that's going to go unfortunately for complicated cars that get bunches of computers and carrying on your best bet unfortunately is going to be a factory manual You can find pirated copies reprinted copies on paper if you like paper like I do so there's almost no excuse not to have it It's basically part of the expense of owning the car you'll pay for the manual no matter what you pay for it in a very few short repairs or you want then you'll just continue to pay a shop either way will pan out some way but good luck ever since like 85 Supra I've broken down and gotten the manual for the car 85 super was one of the first two manual sets now three is not uncommon well it was now it doesn't matter because it's all electronic You won't get a paper copy that kind of chaps my nice person but oh well.
Sadly, I don't think there was a pdf for the Prius v (2012 incept). I can PM you link, for a bootleg of the regular 3rd gen, if that's of interest. It has broken links, but still immensely better than nothing..
Mendel, yes please send a link. It would be greatly appreciated. I found this 2012 Toyota Prius V Service & Repair Manual Software Do you think this is ligitamate? Thanks
Yeah that looks pretty sketchy there I don't know who repairs advisor is so on and so forth does it mean it isn't worthy I've just never heard of it so it's kind of surprising but I guess since they came out electronic there's all kinds of forgeries and fakes and stuff that's worse than the Haynes manual etc.
