I just bought a 2008 Prius. I noticed that when I lock/unlock the car, only the driver’s side turn signal flashes. Is this normal? The passenger side turn signals work normally otherwise. Thanks in advance!
I'm not sure about that I thought it flashed both I have all my stuff turned off in the Toyota software mine doesn't do anything when I lock unlock no lights no beeping no noise nothing You can just hear the door lock unlock when I walk up to the car it just undoes the driver side if I have a passenger I usually open my door and hit the button to unlock for the passenger or I reach in my pocket and I hit the unlock button on the remote whichever is more convenient. Is yours a silverbacked SKS remote? In the Toyota software man you can make it on one push open or unlock all four doors and so on I have most of that stuff turned off.
No. Mine is the black SKS remote. I have the car set to unlock all doors when I touch the back of the driver door handle. I haven’t looked at the Toyota software for this car yet. I’m coming from a 2007 Camry without the SKS system, and I thought it was weird that only one side of the Prius flashed when unlocking/locking.
If it is the stock fob it should have a silver Toyota logo on the back. The remote itself is not silver. This does seem unusual. I'm not aware of any programming option to flash only the driver's side. The indicator flash is either on or off as far as I know.
