I am installing this to be used as a temp monitor for the HV battery air intake and exhaust. This way I do not have to have an app constantly running to watch the temp.
I would like to know how these temperatures compare to those of the HV battery measured by Techstream or the Scangauge 2.
The temps will not be exactly like the temp probes in the modules but it will just tell me the intake and exhaust air temps. That is all I need at a glance without an app running.
It will be interesting to see how the three temperatures compare. It will show how effective the cooling fan is.
Boss i had a problem with my car . Can u help me . Its some different for me and i read your threads . I guess you this problem. I have 2010 gen 3 and i will change my transmission. I bought one but its 2012 v model transmission. Pipe inlets and outlets and cooler section are different. I need to cancel the cooler to install the v model. Will there be a problem with the car moving or starting when I do this? Finally, do I need to swap the power (electrical) cables? I would be glad if you help . I can give you my phone number to explain better.
I get your text . Thanks for help but i have some problem still . They said the problem was with the transmission. We changed it, but it still says check hybrid system when we press the power button to start the car. I connected it to the computer and cleared all the errors and it still doesn't work. There is no gas going to the engine. The car does not go into drive mode. What do you think the problem could be? Thanks again.
A Prius v transaxle has different gearing in addition to the extra cooling. You need a standard Prius hatchback transaxle if you really needed one in the first place. They rarely fail but engine misfires or head gasket issues make them sound bad.
This modification has been discontinued. The temp wire needed to run to the intake fan was not long enough. I assumed they were the same length but they were not. Still had time to return it and got my money back.
