I'm curious. Has anyone removed the body side moldings from a 2023-24 Prius? I'm assuming they're attached with tape, but I'm not sure. Was the removal easy; hard? Was there any noticable marks left on the paint? I'm not a fan of the moldings. I'd much rather park as far from other vehicles as possible and keep the smooth lines of the car as designed...without moldings.
A hair dryer or heat gun with gloves would work. Be careful if using a heat gun and they can get really hot. I used the wife's hair dryer to debadge the rear trunk lid. You will spend more time getting the glue residue off then you do taking off the side molding. I used Goof Off to remove the residue.
