My understanding is that the egr plugs causing an imbalance afr between the cylinders, causing detonation and hotter temps, eating the hg over time.

Has anyone rerouted the egr into the pcv opening on the manifold or drilled/tapped a new single port that would feed all cylinders equally?

Where the engineers positioned the exhaust gas introduction into the intake air, is at the very end of the intake manifold path, at most a couple of inches from the intake valves, perhaps for good reason?

Clean it or delete it. Yup they did it incorrectly. They fixed it in later revisions after gen 3.
