<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(Godiva @ Dec 29 2006, 12:35 AM) </div> Thanks, Godiva. I hope all these trolls get exactly what they deserve in the coming year.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(hemilover69 @ Dec 29 2006, 12:51 AM) </div> I guess since we don't have 2,000 posts we are automatically trolls. Interesting Gestapo mentality here. What happens if someone debates a popular idea, Godiva?
Don't worry about the spam folks - once their accounts are deleted, their posts will vanish too. dave
Someone didn't get enough attention from Mommy and Daddy when they were growing up. Evidently this holiday season has pushed them over the edge.
I'm on now but it seems to be over for now. Crap. Thanks, guys/gals for the record-keeping and all the "reports". That helps us clean up the mess. At this point, it looks as though someone beat me to. Probably tag, the "ninja moderator." Looks like I picked a bad night to stop sniffing glue. Oh yeah, Fast and Thifty. Don't worry about it. We know the story. Sorry you got caught up in it.
I'm still hoping for a 24th century verson of vBulletin to make it to this century with the "Beam Me Up Scotty" feature. Next time a troller gets into a trash-talking rant, a mod beams him into the middle of the Milkuaee, Wis Hybrid meeting and beaten to a pulp. Newspapers show his bruised mug and shredded shirt on page one.

Those of us who experienced the attack can tell you it wasn't pretty. Creative, perhaps, like starting new topics with the, apparently, several trolls trashtalking among themselves. Lots of pictures of cats and kittens posted too, some quite funny. But you can guess from their names, the weren't exactly Prius people.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(Delta Flyer @ Dec 29 2006, 06:55 AM) </div> Beating people up is so unimaginative! How about putting a filter on their internet connection so that they can only talk to each other? Or forcing them to listen to an entire speech by former Albanian president Enver Hoxha? (Definitely cruel and unusual. This guy was one of the most boring windbags in the world, even if you agreed with his political perspective!)
Daniel, Your troll-net idea is a good one. I'll work on a more realisitic and imaginitive of a troll eliminator.... Microsoft Vista is postponed to add a new feature...in conjunction with forum software vendors, they have allowed trollers to be reported to a common database. When reports from three or more sites have been recorded on the database, Microsoft enables a switch in the registery that turns Windows Vista into a troll....it starts doing the opposite of the user - talking back, etc... if the troller turns in the computer for repairs, the techs by law will be require to demand a $5,000 fine for 1st offense to proceed with repairs...Apple and Linux have agreed to put in similar features - internet providers will require all OS to have this troller interception feature by 2009.
