Hello all, I just added a layer of ceramic 50% window film to the windshield, Should help a bunch on keeping the heat out during the summer. It is almost optically clear, so its hard to notice its on there. So I guess this is my first mod!! FITCAM should be here next week!!
What does "the heat" (aka Florida police) say about windshield tinting? Up here, IIRC, the only thing legal for tinting is rear passenger and back windows.
Those folks aren't big fans of windshield tinting. With that being said they generally aren't enforcing those types of infractions but they are going to use it for an easy stop. Suspected DWI, drug dealing, etc....
Very nice. I wish our dealers up here had a clear ceramic IR blocking film to block heat. The sides are blocked but I'd like the front blocked as well. I should make some calls and see what I can find because I make sugar look tan...
Most decent tint places that sell ceramic window film should stock 50% film. Getting them to tint a windshield may be an up hill battle. If they aren't willing to do it, offer to pay in cash, no receipt. If that doesn't work see if you can ask one of the tint installers to do it on the side. All window tinters do sidework. ALL of them!! lol
