I have a 2012 Prius C 3 which just passed the 200k mile mark this month. It's been great. I'm in a bind where I have to park for a month but in a long term garage with no power. Is there an easy way to disconnect the battery? Its under the back seat right? Will that even help for a month? I have AAA worst case but any advice would be great. It's going to be in a cold environment (between 0-30f).
how old is the 12v? there's no guarantee it will survive, but you could leave a jump pack in it to get you going: ref=asc_df_B0C1SBXT8V you still need to get to the battery though, so it might be worth looking through the o/m. search watch
Yours is one of the early Prius c without the jump point in the under-the-hood fuse box? There still should be a 12 volt positive lead feeding into that fuse box, with a ring connector on a stud, Wire a quick-connect to that, and a ground point? CTEK chargers typically come with a quick connect.
all prius came with a jump post under the hood because battery access was limited. until the c, which they somehow forgot to do, but corrected after a couple years.
Update. I need not have worried about it. It hit -16 degrees at one point since it's been standing. Over a month later without doing anything it just started right up. This car is a tank.
