In the older models it could be, after removing headrest and moving the seat itself all the way forward. Can the Prius 2024 do the same? Can someone post pictures please? It's critical for me to be able to have a flat area that spans the entire length of the vehicle. thank you very much
...just to make it clear I am thinking of configuration with rear seats folded forward and then remove headrest, slide passenger front seat forward and recline back as far as possible. Can someone please post pictures of that. thank you
I plan to use Prius for car camping. I'm 5'10". My plan is to fold rear seats and put up plywood lengthwise for bed. Because of this consideration I have some questions I hope any owners of 2024 model can answer. can front seat be folded flat when rear seats are folded? on 2023 it can as per pictures on this thread. can back seat head restraints be removed? | PriusChat But would love confirmation for 2024 model Do rear seats fold completely flat and make even surface with the cargo compartment, or are there areas where there are bumps, peaks and valleys? Can someone please measure the length from hatch door(when CLOSED) to the back of passenger seat when fully forward and upright. I think the previous thread title made more sense than this one though. When I saw this title, and the opening post I got very confused. If you can, I'd make the title the old one (about folding front seats flat). On topic - the photo linked for the 2023 appears to be the prime, and I don't think there are any differences across years so it should be fine. When I next go out, if no one has done it for you, I can try and check the front passenger side as a test for you. If this CAN be done, then it would also work as a sort of hack-ish way to put the passenger side down to help haul things that are long (but not heavy) too. I wouldn't want to put a lot of weight on the seat mechanism of the reclined seat, personally. And the thing I'm gonna miss most about my matrix when it does give up the ghost is the lack of passenger front seat fold flat down option. ... God I really do love my matrix. Love my new prime, but I wish we had a phev matrix. The cross is pretty big, its more of an SUV than a hatchback sedan, but if they made that into a phev in the future, I'd probably have that as our second car honestly. Not a fan of the Rav4, too big and too expensive for me as a plug in.

Basically, I would appreciate fold flat of seats as in the pictures, but also: 1. distance from hatch (closed) to the front passenger when in upright and fully forward position 2. height from folded rear seats to the roof--I would like to be able to at least recline when inside. thank you very much
Ah I have the prime, I know the trunk dimensions are different, internal general dimensions are public. But I'll see if I can make the time to check and what I can check.
There's no internal measurement difference between the Prime and the XLE/Limited trims, as far as I'm aware, once the cargo floor tray is in place.
Good to know. Getting that first measurement you want from me will be hard though. As I have kids seats in the car so can't put the seats down easily, and also, the hatch is very sloped, so, its going to be hard to say exactly how long it is. Consider that if you're car camping for example, if you're low enough you can get all the way to the back of the hatch - sure - but the slope is aggressive and you might be barely able to fit vertically right at the edge. I am not sure how different this is or isn't from previous prius gens, but it might be something that is best decided by seeing one in person and going for a test drive? From just looking at and thinking about the car, you can probably fit at 5'10, but whether it will be comfortable is the hard part to estimate - just because of the slope at the back, and depending on how much padding you're going to use. Though with the normal prius, the floor of the hatch may be low enough to give you more space. All this being said, I have previously taken some measurements of the hatch space itself, and they were saved on my phone. So for now - Hatch space is roughly 32 inches deep, with the widest portion of the hatch measuring 55 inches, with the opening (and the cargo mat width for example) of the hatch being 33 inches wide. Its about 25 inches tall, but that's at the back of the seats if my memory serves. It will be shorter at the edge of the hatch for my prime, but probably deeper for the regular prius both at the seats and at the edge of the hatch, since it has a lower floor. Then its just the cabin measurements which I believe are public - if you want a quick guesstimate for now. I probably won't be able to pull the carseats out before the weekend to do a proper measurement.
My pics with a tape measure - it doesn't lay flat as you've probably seen from the other thread. But this will give you an idea of the exact lengths from the front trim to the back. If you slept with your head in the trunk, you may not notice that front seat bump is raising your feet?
