Disconnected wire identification.

    [​IMG] This wire next to the hood release was just dangling I don't see anything it plugs into. I just got this car and barley noticed this. Anyone know what it is for.

    Likely an anti-theft device put on by some seller at some point in time, not necessarily the most recent seller.

    You might be able to visually ascertain whether that cable bundle is part of the vehicle wiring harness or is a separate line. If it does not join up with the vehicle wiring harness then very likely some after-market deal.
