I am looking at used Prius. When shopping, and the seller doesn't know what model it is, how do I determine the model. Is it defined in the VIN number or in the accessories that it has? Also, is there a list of all the accessories that each year model and trim model has? SM-N920V ?
Actually I'd like to have all years but at least since 2010. I think it would make nice information to have on this site. With all these members I thought someone might have a chart showing this. SM-N920V ?
Just quickly searching, this link has a lot of info. Armed with what's in each level, you can then inspect cars, establish what level it is, but yeah: laborious. Toyota Prius’s confusing Trim levels I, II, III, IV and V | Diminished Value Car Appraisal It would be nice, if the Prius had a level indication on the badge. I'm not sure about VIN's referencing level, again, that'd be great, maybe someone knows. Just to complicate things, the levels and what's included varies in different countries, ie: Canadian models don't directly correlate with US.
Are you looking a the Prius (liftback), Plug-in Prius/Prius Prime, Prius c, or Prius v? The trim levels vary among those models too.
Oh so you're looking at the 3rd generation? Here's the 2nd generation (2004-2009) 2G Prius (2004-2009) Standard and Optional Equipment (Some Countries) | PriusChat Here's the 3rd generation (2010-2015) 3G Prius (2010-2015) Standard and Optional Equipment (Some Countries) | PriusChat The 3rd generation info is also available in a spreadsheet
Is there a thread with the trim and option info for the Prius v / XW40 ? I'd love to know which ones have sks or not sks key fobs, which headlights they use, which ones have or don't have spare tires, which kind of nav system updates are used, etc...
This site is good for that; it is a compilation of old car brochures. The back pages of brochures typically itemize the levels in table format. It’s US based: Auto-Brochures | home
