It seems to disappear @ low speeds when you shift to B mode
Or is it just me and my hearing???

It's meant to be that way - it is an audible sound at low speeds when when the ICE is not running to warn pedestrians about your proximity, required by regulation for all newer hybrids/EVs

thanks make’s sense ICE is running and no sound needed in that scenario
I use the B mode often as it’s convenient rather than use brakes for example slowing down as I approach lights or downhill grades to maintain an even speed sometimes as needed and Especially at about 3-5 mph in parking lot as it really slows you up quickly
Still getting used to screens and controls on my 2024 LTD pearl white
After 14 years with our 2010 V and 146K it’s an adjustment still like some characteristics of the old one in some respects
There really is so much tech almost overdone 2 completely different sets of software
Not easy to integrate Car Play Sirius music Apple Music etc etc in an easy to use system
Who put the volume knob were it is ?
Radio is not easy to use with limited favorites
Love the car tho and boy is it gorgeous!
Having problems loading pictures won’t let me add any photos at all not sure why?
    Tips anyone
    TIA

Uploads have been broken since a server migration a few months ago.

The pedestrian warning sounds shouldn’t disappear at low speeds, they should disappear above 20 mph or so

In EV mode the artificial "UFO" sound automatically turns off after you accelerate past 24mph and comes back on once you decelerate to 21mph and under. The sound seems to be louder once you shift into reverse, however I don't know if that sound ever turns off once you hit a certain speed in reverse, since for some reason I've never floored it going in reverse :D

The sound stopping happened with the engine coming on. You know, cause it is so loud. (We'll ignore all the ICE cars that are quieter than a Prius at those speeds)

In most situations it's actually more efficient to just use the normal regen brakes rather than using B mode engine breaking. B mode is meant for long downhill grades to prevent wear on the normal brakes when the regen is full or the regen brakes aren't enough

I personally use B mode in 3-5 mph conditions as in large congested malls etc for A the more aggressive engine braking and B the elimination of the alien cry

Yes. There are some workarounds if you read through the server migration thread
