Greetings! I'm lucky to work for a company which provides nice company cars. I'm currently driving a Volvo S40 and a few months ago the time came to order a new car. Choices were 1)S40 2)Prius 3)Chrysler 300 and I went with the Prius. Rumor is that in a few years J&J wants to have the majority of the sales fleet driving hybrids. Anyway, cool forum here. I spend a lot of time on vwvortex.com as I'm a long time vw fan but I'm psyched for the Prius.
I work at one of the J&J sites in New Jersey. The Environmental Affairs organization sponsors an annual 'fair' for employees, and one of the booths at the fair was a group giving information about hybrid cars as an alternative to standard gasoline cars. I've also seen posters on bulletin boards talking about J&J's goal to have at least 30% of the sales fleet be hybrids (Within a couple of years, I think) - the poster features a Prius. So congratulations on your new Prius! I got my Prius (personally owned, not company owned) this past April, and I regularly see more than a dozen in the parking lot (up from two when I got mine).
Hey Jeanie, small world! The Prius is great so far...quicker from a start then I thought it would be...but I find myself taking it easy trying to keep it on battery power for as much as possible.
Greetings from one of the California OpCos! I've seen something recently, too, about the fleet hybrid goal. Mine isn't a company car, but I'm one of at least seven Prius and two HCHs at our site. I've had mine for a year and I love it! Hope you enjoy yours too!
